About Me
My name is Christina Kitamikado and I recieved my Masters of Science in Geophysics from the Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Wyoming.
My advisors, Drs. Cliff Riebe, Dario Grana, and Brad Carr, and I worked to understand weathering of bedrock by using utilizing geophysical and geochemical methods. Together we are part of the Bedrock Critical Zone Collaborative Network, which is a NSF funded research project to investigate the critical zone.
I did my undergraduate studies at UCLA and worked with Dr. Seulgi Moon on understanding topographic controls on subsurface velocity patterns.
Currently, I am working at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa as a Research Scientist in the Hawai'i Groundwater & Geothermal Resources Center working on geothermal and carbon sequestration projects with Dr. Nicole Lautze.
